When we bought our farm in Ocala in 2007 it came with a 1997 John Deere 955 tractor. What we did not know at the time was the fact that this tractor would quickly reveal itself as the most useful feature on the farm. In the 9 years that have
followed, we have come to realize that there are no end of things you can do with a tractor and we have done them all. Fell trees, drag paddocks, set fence posts, stretch wire, move rocks, unload hay, groom the arena, dig stumps, spread seed, compost and fertilizer.
That's not even the whole list, just the easiest to remember.
This spring we realized that our 19 year old tractor was ready for retirement and we set out to look at all our options. Starting on-line and then visiting local suppliers we intentionally left John Deere for last but certainly not least. By the time I walked into Ag-Pro, the Ocala John Deere dealer, I knew exactly what I wanted and knew it was more than I could afford. I was right about the first and wrong about the second. The sales associate, Michael Sleeper showed me how I could not only get the exact model tractor and loader I wanted but the box blade and pallet forks that would help me do things that I could never do before. He even showed me how to add in the 18' low boy trailer I needed as well. It's always a good idea to look at all your options, just make sure you go see Michael last.
Mike Taylor always exceeds our expectations. They do transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, brakes, oil changes, transmission services, complete engine rebuild and repair, and air conditioning. If you are looking for someone you can trust - look no further! Mike Taylor is the owner/ Master Technician, and is knowledgeable, hardworking, and trustworthy! For the last four years they have been our only ones to service our Dodge 3500 dualie and we wouldn't even consider taking it anywhere else.
We go to Newport because we know we will be getting the highest quality alfalfa, timothy and mixed hay to be found in Ocala. But even more important we know that not only we get great quality products, but it's the excellent service that keeps coming back! They offer a wide range of premier alfalfa and grass hay and are very helpful when we are looking for something in particular.
